Day 1
Marrakesh – Ouarzazate – Zagora – Camel ride
Departing from Marrakech, we journey through the High Atlas Mountains, crossing the Tizi-n-Tichka Pass—Morocco’s highest road pass at 2,260m (7,417ft). Along the way, take in breathtaking views of the rugged landscapes and Berber villages.
We stop at the iconic Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah, a UNESCO World Heritage site and one of Morocco’s most filmed and photographed landmarks. This ancient fortress has been featured in legendary films such as Lawrence of Arabia, The Sheltering Sky, and Gladiator.
Continuing our journey, we arrive in Zagora, where you’ll be greeted with traditional mint tea before embarking on an unforgettable camel ride through the desert. As the sun sets, settle into a traditional desert camp, where you’ll spend the night under a sky filled with endless stars.
Day 2
Zagora – Ait Ben Haddou – Marrakesh
Wake up to a peaceful Sahara sunrise and enjoy breakfast before camel trekking back to Zagora. Your private driver-guide will then take you on a scenic return journey to Marrakech, passing through Agdez, Ait Sawn, and once again crossing the majestic Tizi-n-Tichka Pass.
As we weave through the winding roads of the Atlas Mountains, you’ll have time to soak in the spectacular scenery before arriving in Marrakech by evening, where you’ll be dropped off at your hotel or riad.
