Day 1 :

Tangier Port – Tangier City

Upon arrival at the port of Tangier, you will be greeted and taken on a short journey into the city, where you will check into your hotel. Depending on your arrival time, you may have the opportunity to explore the local markets, take in the vibrant atmosphere, and enjoy your first glass of traditional Moroccan mint tea.

Chefchaouen

Day 2 :

Tangier – Asilah – Chefchaouen

Continuing you 9-day Morocco Tour, you leave Tangier behind, you will begin your journey into the Rif Mountains, passing through the charming Andalusian-style town of Asilah, known for its whitewashed buildings and thriving artistic community. This coastal town is a favourite among painters and creatives, offering a picturesque introduction to the Moroccan countryside.

As you travel through diverse landscapes, you will arrive at the breathtaking town of Chefchaouen, also known as the “Blue Pearl”. Famed for its steep, winding streets and striking indigo and whitewashed buildings, Chefchaouen is an enchanting place to explore.

At the heart of the old town, Place Uta el-Hamman provides the perfect setting for a relaxing stroll. Here, you can visit the Grand Mosque, the historic Fondouk, and the Kasbah Museum, which offers insight into the region’s history. The medina of Chefchaouen is a maze of alleyways lined with more than 100 weavers’ workshops, where skilled artisans create the town’s signature woollen jellabas. The Quartier Al-Andalus district is another highlight, showcasing vibrantly painted houses adorned with intricate patterns.

Meknes

Day 3 :

Chefchaouen – Volubilis – Meknes

After breakfast, the journey continues through the rugged Rif Mountains, leading to one of Morocco’s most significant archaeological sites—the ancient Roman city of Volubilis. As a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1997, Volubilis boasts some of the best-preserved Roman ruins in North Africa. You will have time to explore its impressive remains, including the Basilica, the mosaics of Diana and the Bathing Nymphs, and the Triumphal Arch, which offers a glimpse into Morocco’s Roman past.

From Volubilis, the tour continues to Meknes, an Imperial City steeped in history. After enjoying a traditional Moroccan lunch, you will explore the city’s most iconic landmark, Bab Mansour el-Aleuj, also known as the Gate of the Victorious Renegade. Considered one of the most magnificent gates in Morocco, its grandeur is a testament to the city’s former glory.

Day 4 :

Meknes – Cedar Forest – Tizi N Talghoum t- Merzouga

After breakfast, we leave Meknes, the Ismailian capital, and make our way towards the breathtaking landscapes of Fesbefore traveling through the Middle Atlas Mountains. Along the way, we pass through the Cedar Forest, the largest in Morocco, where you may spot Barbary apes leaping between the ancient trees.

After stopping for lunch, the journey continues as we cross the Talghoumt Pass, where the landscape transitions into arid, golden terrain. Along this stretch, you may encounter nomadic shepherds tending their flocks, a glimpse into Morocco’s ancient way of life. Before reaching Merzouga, the gateway to the Sahara Desert, we pause to admire the hidden oases that dot the region, a stark contrast to the desert’s vastness.

Day 5 :

Merzouga Exploring – Treasures – camel ride

You are now half way through your 9-day Morocco Tour. The morning begins with a short drive to Dayet Srji, a desert lake known for its diverse bird population, including flamingos and other migratory species. From here, we continue to Khamlia, a village famous for its Gnaoua music and traditions, brought to Morocco by descendants of West African slaves from Mali, Mauritania, Guinea, and Ghana.

If it is market day, we will visit Rissani, where you can sample a traditional Berber pizza. Alternatively, we may journey into the Hamada, or “black desert,” to meet nomadic families and share tea in their tent, offering a unique opportunity to learn about their culture and desert lifestyle.

In the late afternoon, we arrive at Erg Chebbi, where your camel guide will take you on a trek across the golden dunes, leading you to a Bedouin camp deep in the desert. Under a sky filled with thousands of stars, you will experience the silence and immensity of the Sahara—a truly unforgettable night.

Todra Gorge

Day 6 :

Merzouga Sahara – Todra Gorge – Dades Valley

As the first light of dawn breaks over the Sahara Desert, you will witness a spectacular sunrise, with the dunes changing colors as the sun rises higher in the sky. After camel trekking back to Merzouga, you will enjoy breakfast and a refreshing shower at the hotel before setting off for the next part of the journey.

Our first stop is Erfoud, known as “fossil town”, where you will see local stalls selling crystals, semi-precious stones, and ancient fossils. Here, you can visit Usine de Marmar, a workshop specializing in fossilized marble, to learn about the region’s prehistoric treasures.

The journey continues through the dramatic Todra Gorge, a narrow canyon with towering 300m (985ft) cliffs rising sharply on either side. This breathtaking landscape is a favorite among rock climbers and nature lovers alike. After lunch, we travel to the Dades Valley, where unique rock formations known as “monkey toes” stand alongside striking mud-brick kasbahs.

Day 7 :

Dades Valley – Valley of Roses – Ait Ben Haddou – Tizi n Tichka Pass – Marrakech.

Today’s adventure begins with a scenic journey through the Dades Valley and the stunning Valley of the Roses, famous for its rosewater production. Each spring, up to 4,000 tonnes of rose petals are harvested and processed into essential oils and perfumes, a tradition celebrated annually at the Rose Festival in May.

Continuing south, we arrive at Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou, Morocco’s most famous UNESCO-listed kasbah, a majestic fortress of red mud bricks that has served as the backdrop for films such as Lawrence of Arabia, The Sheltering Sky, and Gladiator. This ancient caravan stop is one of Morocco’s best-preserved kasbahs and a true highlight of the tour.

Crossing the Tizi-n-Tichka Pass, the highest mountain pass in Morocco at 2,260m (7,417ft), you will be treated to breathtaking views of the rugged Atlas Mountains and scattered Berber villages along the way. Upon arrival in Marrakech, you will settle into a riad near the lively Jemaa el-Fna Square, where the evening comes alive with snake charmers, street performers, and vibrant market stalls.

Day 8 :

Marrkech Sightseeing – Marrakech

On the last full day of your 9-day Morocco Tour. The day is spent in Marrakech which allows you to explore its fascinating history and vibrant energy. With your local guide, you will visit the Koutoubia Mosque, the largest mosque in Marrakech, and explore the bustling Jemaa el-Fna Square, where you’ll find storytellers, musicians, acrobats, and market vendors.

You will then dive into the souks of the Medina, where artisans craft intricate textiles, pottery, and spices using techniques passed down for generations. Other highlights of the day include the Bahia Palace, the Saadian Tombs, and the famous Ben Youssef Medersa, a historic Islamic school known for its stunning tilework and carved wooden interiors.

In the afternoon, your private driver/guide will take you to visit the Majorelle Gardens, an oasis of exotic plants designed by artist Jacques Majorelle and later restored by Yves Saint Laurent. The day concludes with a visit to the Menara Gardens, a peaceful retreat offering spectacular views of the Atlas Mountains.

Day 9 :

Marrakech – Airport

Depending on your flight schedule, you may have time for some last-minute shopping, a relaxing walk through the medina, or one final cup of mint tea before we transfer you to the airport.
