Designed for travelers seeking breadth without excess, this nine-day route offers a fluid introduction to Morocco’s iconic cities and the quiet drama of the desert.

01
Day 1: Arrival in Casablanca – Rabat

Upon arrival at Casablanca Airport, a Deep Morocco Tours guide/driver will warmly welcome you. Begin your journey with a visit to the iconic Hassan II Mosque, one of the largest mosques in the world, beautifully perched on the Atlantic coast. You’ll also have the option to visit the Synagogue and the Museum of Moroccan Judaism. Later, drive to Rabat, Morocco’s elegant capital. Explore the historic sites including the Hassan Tower, the Mausoleum of Mohammed V, the ancient necropolis of Chellah, and the scenic Oudayas Kasbah. The day is designed to balance cultural exploration with rest, allowing you to settle into the rhythm of Moroccan life. Your evening is at leisure to enjoy a peaceful night in Rabat. Day 2: Rabat – Asilah – Chefchaouen

After breakfast, depart for the Blue City of Chefchaouen, traveling along Morocco’s beautiful Atlantic coast. Stop en route in the artistic town of Asilah, famed for its colorful murals and annual art festival. Stroll through the serene whitewashed medina and climb to the Skalla fortress for sweeping views of the sea. If time allows, a detour through Tangier offers a quick immersion in its vibrant coastal charm. As the journey continues, ascend into the foothills of the Rif Mountains toward Chefchaouen. Upon arrival, enjoy the town’s tranquil atmosphere, a haven of blue hues and mountain breezes. Settle in and prepare for the cultural adventures ahead. Bed and Breakfast (BB) is included.

NB: You may choose to skip Asilah and Tangier for more time in Chefchaouen.

Day 3: Chefchaouen – Volubilis – Meknes – Fes

Today, travel from Chefchaouen to Fes, passing through Ouazzan and the Roman archaeological site of Volubilis. Discover this remarkably preserved UNESCO World Heritage site, famous for its intricate mosaics and Roman ruins dating back to the 3rd century BC. Enjoy a guided visit to explore the city’s historical depth. Continue to Meknes, once the capital of Sultan Moulay Ismail’s empire. Visit the impressive Bab Mansour gate, the royal granaries, Sahrij Souani, and the mausoleum of the sultan himself. In the late afternoon, make your way to Fes via the highway. Settle into your accommodation in this ancient imperial city, known for its spiritual heritage and intricate medina architecture. Bed and Breakfast (BB) is included.

Day 4: Fes Exploration Day

Spend the day discovering the cultural and spiritual richness of Fes, Morocco’s oldest imperial city. Navigate the maze-like streets of the Medina, where you’ll visit landmarks including the Jewish Quarter, the Al Karaouine Mosque and University—the oldest continuously operating university in the world—the Madrasa Bouanania, and the famous tanneries. Admire the intricate craftsmanship at the Najjarine fountain and enjoy lunch in a traditional Moroccan setting. In the afternoon, visit the Royal Palace gates and explore the Mellah, Fes' historic Jewish neighborhood. Stop at a local pottery cooperative to see artisans at work. End the day with a panoramic view of the medina from one of the surrounding hilltop fortresses. Return to your accommodation. Bed and Breakfast (BB) is included.

Day 5: Fes – Ifrane – Azrou – Errachidia – Merzouga (Sahara Desert)

Depart Fes for the southeast, journeying toward the majestic Sahara Desert. Your route passes through Ifrane, a charming alpine town often referred to as “Little Switzerland,” and Azrou, home to cedar forests and Barbary apes. Continue through the Middle Atlas Mountains to Midelt, then travel across the High Plateaus toward Errachidia. The landscape shifts to desert terrain as you approach the lush Ziz Valley and the vast Tafilalet palm grove. Arrive in Merzouga, gateway to the Sahara, where camels await to take you into the golden dunes of Erg Chebbi. Watch the sunset before settling into a luxury desert camp under the stars. Day 6: Merzouga – Todra Gorges – Dades Valley

Wake early to witness the magical sunrise over the dunes, followed by breakfast at the camp. Return to Merzouga by camel or 4x4 and begin your journey to Tinghir and the breathtaking Todra Gorges—towering limestone cliffs carved by the river over millennia. Walk through the gorge and enjoy lunch in the heart of this natural wonder. In the afternoon, continue through the Dades Valley, known for its dramatic rock formations, lush oases, and kasbahs. Marvel at the “monkey fingers” rock formations and the winding mountain roads. Spend the evening surrounded by the beauty of this tranquil valley. Half-Board (HB) is included.

Day 7: Dades – Skoura – Ait Ben Haddou – Marrakech

After breakfast, follow the ancient Caravan Route through Skoura’s palm groves toward the famous Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO-listed site known for its dramatic architecture and film history. Explore the kasbah’s earthen walls and towers before continuing your journey across the High Atlas Mountains via the Tizi n’Tichka Pass (2260m). Along the way, pause for panoramic views and glimpses of remote Berber villages clinging to the hillsides. Descend into the vibrant city of Marrakech, where you’ll check in to your accommodation and unwind after the scenic drive. Bed and Breakfast (BB) is included.

Day 8: Marrakech Exploration Day

Delve into the magic of Marrakech with a guided city tour. Begin at the Koutoubia Minaret, the city’s most famous landmark, followed by visits to the Saadian Tombs and the beautiful Bahia Palace. Discover the Ben Youssef Madrasa, a masterpiece of Islamic architecture. Stroll through the bustling souks and artisan quarters of the Medina, where you can see craftsmen at work. After lunch, visit the serene Majorelle Garden, then take a short drive through Gueliz, the modern part of Marrakech. End the day at the lively Jamaa El Fna Square, where performers, storytellers, and food vendors create an unforgettable evening atmosphere. Bed and Breakfast (BB) is included.

Day 9: Marrakech and Departure

Enjoy a leisurely breakfast before soaking in the final moments of Marrakech. Take time for last-minute souvenir shopping, or relax with a glass of mint tea at a terrace café overlooking the square. At the designated time, your Deep Morocco Tours driver will transfer you to the airport for your return flight, marking the end of a rich and memorable journey through Morocco. Your guide will bid you farewell with heartfelt wishes for a safe and pleasant journey ahead.
