3-Day Desert Tour: From Fes to Marrakech via the Sahara Desert

Traverse the High Atlas Mountains via the Tizi-n-Tichka Pass – at 2260m (7417ft) it’s the highest pass in Morocco. Enjoy amazing views of this fascinating landscape and the Berber villages.
Tour Plan :
Day 1: Fes – Ifrane – Cedar Forest – Ziz Valley – Erfoud – Merzouga
We'll begin our journey from the ancient city of Fes and head southward towards the Sahara Desert. En route, we'll pass through Ifrane, known as "Little Switzerland" for its alpine scenery, and explore the majestic Cedar Forest, home to native Barbary apes.
Continuing through the scenic Ziz Valley and the town of Erfoud, we'll arrive in Merzouga in the late afternoon. There, you'll be greeted by your camel guide who will lead you across the mesmerizing sand dunes to your luxurious desert camp at Erg Chebbi. Spend the night under the stars or in comfortable canvas tents, complete with modern amenities like Western bathrooms and hot showers.
Day 2: Merzouga – Rissani – Todra Gorges – Dades Valley
Awake to a spectacular sunrise over the Sahara Desert and enjoy a hearty breakfast at the camp. Afterward, we'll depart from Merzouga and journey towards the Todra Gorges, known for their towering cliffs and scenic beauty. Along the way, we'll pass through the vibrant town of Rissani, known for its bustling markets and historical significance. From there, we'll continue our drive through the picturesque landscapes of the Dades Valley, where we'll spend the night in a charming property overlooking the valley.
Day 3: Dades Valley – Ouarzazate – Ait Ben Haddou – High Atlas Mountains – Marrakech
We'll journey through the enchanting Dades Valley, known as the "Valley of a Thousand Kasbahs," offering ample opportunities for capturing stunning photographs. Our route takes us through the rose city of Kalaat Mgouna, where you can visit a cooperative to purchase fragrant rosewater.
Continuing our drive, we'll pass by the majestic Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah, a UNESCO World Heritage site steeped in history and culture. This journey takes across the High Atlas Mountains via the Tizi-n-Tichka Pass, reaching an altitude of 2260m (7417ft). Enjoy breathtaking views of the rugged landscape and Berber villages along the way. Finally, we'll descend from the mountains and conclude our tour in the vibrant city of Marrakech.
